'112 Years' West Ham Photo Essay by Marcus Drinkwater

Painting those thousand words in picture form, this collection of imagery by photographer Marcus Drinkwater is a celebration of West Ham United's final term at their famous Upton Park. A home that personified the character of the club, it's a footballing spirit bottled and banked as the club ups sticks, now residing at the London Stadium.

More of a state of mind for the fans that called The Boelyn Ground home for many a lifetime, this series of poignant shots wrap up the raw realism that football can often possess. This engaging photography series is a prime example. Cling on to the memories, the whiff of cigarette smoke and the constant buzz of the burger van generator  they're synonymous to the fans' match day experience.

One tattoo leading to the next, the claret of West Ham is an infectious colour that instantly drops you into the heart of East London. Capturing night and day, fans old and young and an array of emotions as the club sign off one chapter and embark on the next, it's beautifully done.
