Our latest series of 'Framed' comes in the shape of England v Portugal. Grabing a slice of pitch side action, we got up close and personal to capture this last friendly game before EURO 2016 through a unique perspective.
The home of football, a 90,000 seater megaplex and 22 players (kind of more like 21.5 over 90 minutes) and a well-wishing crowd ready to send the squad on their way, this striking set of images have been captured by Elliott Wilcox who has bottled that all empowering feeling that Wembley offers with an abundance of over-arching awe.
Not short of stories to tell, the game saw flying tackles, a red card and a winner with a mere ten minutes to go. You couldn't say it was a bolt of free-flowing furore, more a cautious approach with a tournament looming. Still, for the fans and players alike, a chance to dip toes into the excitement that lies in wait just a week away. Wit the new Nike Mercurial blossoming in amongst the Spark Brilliance Pack, while both England and Portugal showcased their AeroSwift kits, it's a strong looking show. EURO 2016, hello.
