Framed #55 | USMNT v Trinidad & Tobago

Matching the emphatic off pitch scenes of the international stage, the US Men's National Team put in a display when it mattered most as they hosted Trinidad & Tobago in a World Cup Qualifier out in Colorado.

Naturally, the eyes gravitate towards the MLS when we go in search of supreme support. Matching the club game and going global, this glorious offering of imagery from Grace Stufkosky showcases a well supported set up that is well accompanied with on pitch style.

Going back to the ground, this fixture was a line in the sand for an American side turning the screw. It was a must win as they build towards the hopes in landing that ticket to the 2018 World Cup. Grind it out they did and with Christian Pulisic providing the catalyst for a charismatic battle, the rounded up the game with a 2-0 win. Pulisic bagging a brace. Just 18 and setting his mark on the scene, he has shown every sign of a player enjoying the game in every essence.

In among the best of the of them, from Clint Dempsey to Tim Howard, this was a game with an elite XI. For the 18 year old to own every blade of grass, it's a striking sign of things to come.

Though this performance from the USMNT seemed to lack the sharp edge you'd expect as they ran out with straight up superior talent, it does most definitely build on something as they go into a weekend's fixture with Mexico with spirits in a good place. The groundwork set, feet found and now time to go again. A fixture in Mexico City awaits with the stakes rising and the altitude scaled. Super Sunday showdown.
