Goals from captain Per Mertesacker and new signing Alexandre Lacazette kicked off Arsenal's pre-season party down under as they saw off Sydney FC in front of 80,000 at the ANZ Stadium.

Slipping into a suit of stealth as they debuted their new 2017/18 PUMA third shirt just a day after the unveil event at Sydney Harbour, the Gunners ensured a winning start to their pre-season tour. On a night where Mesut Ozil, Francis Coquelin and Reiss Nelson caught the eye, it was record-signing Alexandre Lacazette who took the headlines by coming off the bench to score just 15 minutes into his Arsenal debut.
