The smell of the indoor court, the squeaks, the echoes. We’ve all been there. The latest adidas Originals x Palace Autumn 2016 lookbook is here and is fantastically reminiscent.
Huge tracksuits and hypnotic colours are one thing but when there's footwear that travels the distance too, it's got contemporary nostalgia by the shed load. Put yourself back in the leisure centre where winter training was accompanied by those wooden benches, sliding cones and a foreboding slap when you inevitably hit the deck. It hurt then, you miss it now.
The AW16 adidas Originals x Palace collaboration is another collection that mixes sportswear, skateboarding and football in one uber-trendy melting pot. Sneakers and accompanying apparel, including a tracksuit, football jersey, training jersey, track bottoms, cap, hooded track top and socks, offer a vintage sportswear look described quite brilliantly in the tongue-in-cheek lookbook as, “110% adidas, mit das Palace sexy touch”.
This collection lands from 11th November online and 12th in-store.
