Nowhere FC and A.S. Roma Collaborate for 'A.S. Wolves' Collection

Keeping up with the collaborations, A.S. Roma have once more linked up by creative football connoisseurs Nowhere FC for a special edition streetwear collection. Designed to create "future heritage", the club and brand are looking to inspire change where football and fashion play out off the pitch.

By reinterpreting classic heraldry from A.S. Roma’s 90-year history, Nowhere FC have design a range of traditional and neo football supporter wear under the fantasy team name A.S. WOLVES. Unveiled, on show and for sale at the Procell Gallery in New York, it's the big city where both parties have set up shop and the venue has been reformed into a bootleg football-vendor-meets-shrine installation. The display includes a 7-foot dyed banner inspired by flags or ‘tifo’ at Stadio Olimpico, upgraded Nike Roma on-field jersey styles, original scarfs, bandanas, socks, t-shirts and hand-dyed and embellished basketball-football mashup shirts reflecting the cultural collision of New York.

Nowhere FC was founded in 2010 playing weekly in downtown Manhattan, making series‘ of DIY uniforms for their club and eventually inspiring the intersections of luxury fashion and football sub-culture. Known for the “Football Concierge” jersey customization experience, the “Football Cafe” serving Lions Gate Field for 2 years, and art installations with Adidas, Avery Dennison, Red Bull, Nike, Major League Soccer, Porter Tokyo, and Rag & Bone.

Designer director Diego Moscoso said recently. “Football Concierge is a football club test kitchen, it’s not fashion at all, but football supporters come from a history of style and battle. We always try to use what is available, but find new ways to twist it. Football on the field and for fan-groups is tied to identity, being recognisable so fans interpret their sports brands to make them personal brands. Now we’ve been lucky enough to apply our small club ideas to the biggest of clubs, we get to imagine a parallel world that could be. Even though we create fantasy, the heavy logos and real heritage feels sacred, so we wanted the display to feel like a shrine emotionally.”

The exhibit's release is timed with the landing of A.S. Roma who tour NY for a few days before competing against Real Madrid at MetLife Stadium, Tuesday, June 7th.
