Embracing a street-heavy aesthetic with football undertones, Hummel have collaborated with New York based designer Willy Chavarria for an apparel concept collection that identifies football as a global game that personifies unity and one that transcends race and class.

As a continuation of his FW18 season, the collection is branded with the numbers 5683 which are the numeric corresponding numbers for L-O-V-E on the American digital keypad. A story of global connectivity is found throughout the collections messaging.

As part of the Hummel team sponsorship program, Willy and Hummel will be offering sponsorship to New York City soccer players - both documented and undocumented U.S. citizens - while providing support to immigrants often slighted by discord in American politics. The Mexican and Latin American recipients of the sponsorship will be the first to wear the new collection.

Part of the collection's concept is to offer a wide range of price options which will position the collection at both high-tier fashion retailers as well as every day sporting goods stores. Alongside the collection will be a campaign that supports the dignity of Mexican and Latin American people living in the United States and offers a special light on those who play soccer.

The Hummel x Willy Chavarria SS19 collection will be in stores from February 2019. Expect this to fly.
