Patta Drop Two Football Jerseys In SS19 Collection

Dutch streetwear label Patta turn on the footballing flair as part of their Spring/Summer 2019 collection by releasing a duo of soccer-styled jerseys with heavy branding. The brand have been at the forefront of the merger between football and streetwear circles, and the latest roll-out builds another layer of strength.

Upon revealing their SS19 lookbook shot by photographer Menno Kok, Patta showcased a collection that boasts traditional streetwear vibes from classic sportswear tees, hoodies and crewnecks to these two standout football jerseys. The jerseys feature different takes of Patta branding where the traditional club crest and kit manufacturer logo would stand, while the oversized Patta logo dominates the front of the bright pink and red designs.

Patta have history when it comes to football. The brand aren't shy to put their own personal spin on the game, and have previously collaborated with Umbro on a couple of projects. Back in 2017 they linked up with the Double Diamond to pay homage to their hometown of Amsterdam with a duo of a retro Ajax jerseys with a lick of retro-skate flavour (below).

More recently Patta dropped a limited edition run of jerseys as part of an ongoing collaboration with Umbro featuring heroic Ajax goalkeeper Stanley Menzo. Bold shapes and throwback graphics adorned the two shirts which saw designs from 1990/91 reworked and rebranded to contain Patta lock ups to replace the Ajax badge as well as famous Phillips sponsor. As well as that, Patta also released a special edition, flag designed football jersey to celebrate the Patta Soundsystem stage at the Appelsap music festival, and another football-inspired drop for SS17 (all below). That's one almighty kit archive Patta are building.
