Umbro Launch SSG Collection For SS19

The 90s are hot right now, there’s no denying it. The bold, bright colouring and radical designs of two decades ago are now aged enough to provide the perfect level of retro style that is in such demand. And one brand that are all over the trend are Umbro, as evidenced with its latest launch for SS19, the SSG collection.

The Double Diamond follow up the recently released SS19 Archive Research Project Collection, which dipped into the 90s to bring back some of its most iconic sneaker silhouettes, with a collection that blends streetwear with performance for yet more throwback feels that hark back to the time when Shearer and Sheringham were the best strike partnership around, a fresh faced Southgate was making the mistakes from the penalty spot that the current day England side would overcome 22 years later, and Gazza was, well, Gazza. Hell of a time, if you're old enough to remember it.

The SSG Collection features styles that are based on iconic 90s jerseys, made with Umbro’s legendary diamond patterns. Comprised of four shirts in total, the collection strikes that perfect blend of street style and retro vibes, hitting the right chords for looks that can comfortably be pulled off either on or off pitch.

The Urban Club Graphics shirt is available in either the ‘Shattered 96’ print or the ’96 Tri’ print, both as eye catching as the other and packing in as much vintage vibes as you could possibly want. Rounding off the collection and available in ‘Ibiza Blue/Black’ and ‘Blazing Yellow/Black’, the Game Day Jersey then slaps bold, block colouring on a modern performance tee. Combine these with your favourite pair of rereleases from the ARP Collection and that's your spring look sorted.
