Taking inspiration from a true footballing icon and one of the greatest players of all time, Nivelcrack unveils its SS20 collection, which pays homage to El Fenomeno himself, Ronaldo with a graphic silhouette print and an original R9 Mercurial design.
Nivelcrack enjoy playing in the intersection between football and design, and their latest collection for Spring/Summer 2020 continues this trend, with a focus on one of the greatest players of his generation, Ronaldo. The collection goes back to a design seen originally in the brand’s AW18 clothing collection, progressing a look that’s inspired by Ronaldo’s signature R9 Mercurial boots across a range of t-shirts, shorts, cap, rug, slides, Hawaiian shirts and track suits.
The sublimated graphic on the Hawaiian shirts stands out, with its unmistakeable silhouette of El Fenomeno in action in a yellow and green combo that’s reminiscent of the Selecao’s colouring, with a blue and yellow shirt also bringing Brazil’s away colour scheme to mind. The tracksuits then feature the design that harks back to the iconic R9 Mercurial, with the same curved aesthetic continuing throughout. Further Ronaldo detailing adorns the back of a tee, for a strong collection that’s inspired by a man that has in turn inspired so many current-current-get ballers. Apt.
