Celebrating a city and club whose creative drive inspires both on and off the pitch, Nike launch the limited edition Barcelona ‘Daybreak’ capsule collection. Rosy sunrises and palm trees set the tone and pay homage to the Mediterranean metropolis the club calls home in an array of premium design apparel and bespoke footwear pieces.
Barcelona’s 20/21 third shirt captures the vibe of a Mediterranean sunrise, with the pink hues of the crystal clear skies outlining the unique feel of the creative city. Borrowing from the colour pops on the collar, cuffs and crest of that third shirt, the ‘Daybreak’ capsule collection draws inspiration from the breaking dawn over Barcelona’s coastline, with the design of the latest pre-match shirt at its heart.
The collection – which features T-shirts, hoodies, a tracksuit and a bespoke Air Max 90 – symbolises a city that thrives on constant evolution and that approaches each day with renewed belief. The collection is a tribute to this mindset that makes Barcelona and its club what they are. Youthful talent and ambition is everywhere in the city, especially in the locker room at the Camp Nou, where 17-year-old Ansu Fati has become a breakout star. Fati, who has been setting records since arriving at the club aged 10, perfectly embodies the spirit of the collection, making him the natural choice to front the launch.
He is joined by Paulo Sagana, also known as ChineseGuy2021, a Barcelona-born DJ with Filipino roots, and Neï, also known by her artistic name Bikôkô, a 19-year-old Catalan musician and model. Both are part of the city’s urban music collective, CUTEMOBB, founded by Leïti Sene.
