Embracing an outdoor active sports lifestyle, while also acknowledging the street and tech era that we live in, Umbro launch the AW20 edition of their Projects, complemented by a fourth sneaker collection from the brand’s Archive Research Project.
For the latest Projects collection, Umbro follow up the SS20 collection by looking to the time of year and the pull of nature while also referencing new era digital culture, with earthy tones of maple leaf and olive across the collection, punctuated with acerbic lime and cyber red across the palette. Hero styles for menswear include the Terrain Polar Fleece in camo featuring twin utility pockets and a neon contrast logo. Shell Jackets with high contrast texture prints are also introduced alongside oversized printed knits and cargo pants.
For womenswear, the Rhian jumpsuit takes centre stage and features a tie-waist and contrast logo pocket. Additional highlights include the cropped Rhian jacket in an oversized camo print, short, printed V-neck tops trimmed with lace and Umbro Projects’ signature Classico T's and sweats updated in the new season’s vibrant palette. The collection is then complemented by a range of accessories, including camo and corduroy caps as well as a range of beanies in block colours and camo with contrast purple flecks.
Umbro then adds to its Archive Research Project (ARP) sneaker range alongside its latest Projects collection, with a fresh new style and updated seasonal colours. Debuting this season is the Umbro Greco sneaker, a streamlined court-inspired shoe revisiting style cues from Umbro’s archive. Following the trend towards cleaner, streamlined shapes, the Greco features a panelled suede and synthetic upper, perforated details and a subtle logo. The sole is a contemporary take on the classic cup shape with a sculpted side profile. The new silhouette joins updated classics from the ARP line-up, including styles such as Neptune, Bumpy, Runner and Fiera – all available in new earthy tones with acidic pops, complementing the Projects line.
