Seoul-based creative studio Nivelcrack are back with another round of collaborative cool, this time working with vintage clothing store Balansa on a Sound Football Academy collection.
Back in June, Nivelcrack had stepped beyond the realms of fantasy football to pair up with K-League side Seongnam FC, legitimising their off-centre stylings. But now they’re back in their comfort zone, working with vintage clothing store Balansa to release a Sound Football Academy collection, consisting of football jersey, training bib, scarf, ball, hoodies, cap, duffle bag and more.
The collection has been captured in a lookbook that takes a certain amount of inspiration from the famous photo of Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a teenager, although it expands on that to incorporate the theme of football-loving teen across the whole range, shaping the sets to suit.
The collection combines the bright and bold colourings that have become synonymous with Nivelcrack over the years, with Sound Football Academy logos and Balansa branding. The main football-styled shirt with that multi-eyed Droopy front and centre comes in either volt, white, blue or orange, ensuring a fresh and vibrant feel across the collection.
