Taking another alternate route into displaying your support, that creative clique known as Art of Football present the ‘Masterpiece Collection’, which reimagines five iconic national team shirts with an added artistic twist, each inspired by a historical artist that changed the world.
We’re knees deep in the Euros now, with the pretenders being trimmed and the elite qualifying from the group stages and graduating to the knockouts, where the football gets proper, quickly. And it’s now that Art of Football [AoF] have opted to drop their latest custom creations in the form of the ‘Masterpiece Collection’: five shirts, five artists, five nations, all chucked together in a boiling pot and brought to the point of perfection. The featured nations are Spain, Italy, England, France and the Netherlands, with only Spain yet to qualify for the knockouts, and this latest project follows up [AoF]'s new and reworked Euros collection, which dropped ahead of the tournament.
For the very first time, [AoF] have created a custom collection of football shirts, inspired by some of the best European artists to ever do it. The beautiful game has provided fans with some truly artful moments over the years and the creative collective have paid tribute to Europe’s finest for their first ever cut and sew collection. The nostalgic connection between historical artists and painters of the game brings the project to life, with Europe’s finest artistes combined with football shirt folklore.
The [AoF] Masterpiece Collection goes live on Wednesday 23 June at 1pm BST. First come, first served...
