Continuing their collaboration game, Korean football lifestyle brand PPRN Seoul have partnered with Aussie upcycling label Unwanted FC for the ‘ANABADA’ jerseys, which arrive with bold 90s templates, championing the message of sustainability.
South Korean football lifestyle brand Pepperoni (PPRN) Seoul link up with Aussie upcycling label Unwanted FC for the 'ANABADA' jersey. ANABADA translates to "Conserve, Share, Exchange, Reuse", a famous Korean term that formed the basis of a movement in 1997 that championed sustainability, and the jerseys aims to bring this message back to life through the bold 90s-inspired templates and messaging, as the idea remains relevant, arguably more than ever before.
Two jerseys have been created under the ‘ANABADA’ drop, with the red base shirt taking on the ‘home’ mantle, and the black being away. Both feature sharp details printed in English and Korean so nothing is lost in translation, and on the back of the kits is a ‘0’, which reflects Unwanted FC’s Zero Waste mission, not to mention the callouts of Brisbane (BNE) and Seoul (SEL), the cities where both brands reside.
The lookbook was shot in Korea and Australia by both brands; Pepperoni Seoul photographed at a traditional flea market in Dongmyo, Korea, with models wearing second-hand clothes purchased from the market alongside the ANABADA Jersey, while Unwanted FC was on set at Bizzell’s Garage, based in a suburb called Paddington in Brisbane. This location has become a trendy spot for weekend vintage markets where buyers and sellers would gather for pre-loved garments. Both locations are iconic to each city and pay homage to the ANABADA movement.
The ANABADA Jersey will be available at Unwanted FC (unwantedfc.com) and PPRN Seoul (en.pprnseoul.com) in limited numbers from 18:00 (AEST) and 17:00 (KST), 26th August.
