Expanding their existing partnership beyond the pitch, PUMA and AC Milan release their first streetwear collaboration together, with Milanese heritage and proud footballing tradition combined for a limited drop of footwear and apparel.
AC Milan have been more adventurous in their exploration of the streetwear scene recently, and they follow up their collaboration with Paper Planes, which dropped at roughly this time last year, with a new streetwear collection. This one comes from technical partners PUMA, marking a new chapter in the relationship between brand and club, with the pair hooking up for their first off pitch capsule together, designed as much for the terraces as it is for the street.
The new streetwear capsule collection has been inspired by the next generation of AC Milan fans and it mixes the tradition and style of an iconic football club and a city worthy of its “fashion capital” status with modern design, underlining the Club's innovative spirit and vision, which has future generations at its heart. The ridiculously handsome Oliver Giroud, long-time PUMA ambassador, was recruited to front the campaign, with the World-Cup winner and current AC Milan striker’s strong professionalism, sense of fashion, and natural panache suiting the collection to a tee.
Traditional training garments such as nylon waterproof coach jackets and track pants are overhauled and rendered as timeless items for the street by interlaying jersey linings, scarf-like patches, and unique AC Milan-inspired colour palettes. Accompanying them are premium-knit french terry hoodies, cotton tees, and two custom PUMA Suede Classic XXI trainers.
