Ahead of their Champions League match with Chelsea, AC Milan headed to London in a new varsity jacket, which was the first result from their recently announced partnership with Off-White.
Hot on the heels of the announcement that Off-White were to be the club’s official Style and Culture Curator, AC Milan debuted the first piece from the partnership as they jetted off to London in a new varsity jacket from the brand. The rest of the outfit was made up of simple “Out of Office” white sneakers, grey trousers, and a black turtleneck pullover, ensuring all attention remained on that jacket.
Keeping focus on that jacket then, and it features a beige body with white sleeves. The design is littered with cross-branded logos throughout, uniting Virgil Abloh's Off-White and the Serie A side by combining old club crests and with callouts to the brand. A red patch then appears on the left sleeve with the writing "We wear our hearts on our sleeves”. This ties in to the image used for the announcement of the partnership, and the shared values of both brand and club.
The announcement said to “expect the unexpected”, and this is certainly that, with a fresh approach when compared to the usual formal wear attributed to prematch travel.
No idea if the AC Milan x Off-White varsity jacket will be available for purchase, but we certainly hope so!
