Once again blurring the lines between football and fashion, South Korean football culture brand Over The Pitch have collaborated with global luxury fashion house, MCM for a new collection inspired by the shapes and shades of the early 2000s.
Korean football creative studio Over The Pitch have been making their mark in the football culture world over the last few years thanks to collaborations with the likes of Nike, adidas, PUMA, and most notably, PSG. Expanding way beyond the borders of their homeland of South Korea, the latest collection mirrors that growth, taking football beyond its borders once again to mingle with the fashion world. To do this, they have hooked up with global luxury fashion house MCM to produce a striking new limited edition collection.
The collection is characterised by a modern reinterpretation of collection designs that were used in football culture around the world in the early 2000s. It consists of long and short sleeved tops, shorts, and a short-sleeve top with the Cognac Visetos monogram, the symbol of MCM. The training wear consists of a track jacket and track pants set, again, with Cognac Visetos monogram, and two types of sweatshirts with MCM logo points in black and cognac colour. It’s then rounded out by a vest, hat, snood, scarf and more.
The collection treads new ground for MCM, through the use of sport fabrics not previously used by the fashion house.
The MCM X Over the Pitch Limited Edition collection is being sold exclusively through a pop-up store in Seoul, so best book your ticket to South Korea if you fancy any of this.
