Equipo FC Collaborate With Kappa For Throwback Kit

The first Kappa collaboration with a creative collective in Spain arrives courtesy of the Italian brand hooking up with Equipo FC to produce a unique kit that pays homage to nights spent watching football on cable TV.

Equipo FC is a creative studio focused on the world of football, and they’ve been best known to us in recent years for their reworking of old kits that are no longer in use or that have suffered some kind of damage, giving them a new lease of life. This was most notable in their partnership with Patterns of Play and then in their Button Down Summer Shirt collection. Now though, they take a new approach, collaborating with Kappa in what is a first for the Italian brand.

Under the concepts of fashion and culture, Equipo FC have partnered with Kappa to take a trip back to the 90’s, creating a jersey that embraces the codes of that era of football. It features an elegant design that wouldn’t have looked out of place on the back of Del Piero, with a simple black base playing host to three white pinstripes rising from the hem, two of which end at the Equipo+ sponsor, itself a nod to Canal+. On the upper part of the shirt is an embroidered Equipo FC crest, sitting opposite the iconic Kappa logo.

To mark the launch of the collaboration, Equipo FC will hold an exclusive presentation at its stand at ScrapWorld with some great surprises for the public to enjoy on 25 and 26 March.

If you can't make it to ScrapWorld, the Equipo FC x Kappa jersey is available online here.
