First Look At The Upcoming LFC x Converse Collection

Following on from the earlier tease, we now get a first look at the upcoming Liverpool x Converse collaborative collection. The new, limited-edition capsule pays homage to the passion and rich history of LFC, while championing its future.

The tease of the LFC x Converse collaboration only happened earlier this week, and at that point there were only a few clues for what we could expect. But now the veil is pretty much fully lifted, as the two global icons unveil their new, limited-edition capsule collection with a celebration of the diverse and creative nature of the club's beating heart – its supporters. To do this they’ve called upon five young Reds – broadcaster Rubi Deschamps, singer Rain Castillo, multidisciplinary artist Sterling Rose Kelly, rapper Dayzy, and commentator and campaigner Roopa Vyas – to take centre stage, with a campaign called ‘creating from the ground up’.

The launch also features five LFC players: Andy Robertson, Fabio Carvalho, Shanice van de Sanden, Taylor Hinds and Leanne Kiernan.

The city as a whole is very accepting of everyone with different backgrounds, people brought up in different ways,” said Robertson. “I think the club opens their arms to everyone, we see that day to day with the staff that work there, and we see it week to week with the fans coming through the turnstiles.

“As a city, it’s amazing what they do, but as a club they’ve followed in the footsteps. Liverpool is open to everyone.”

The collaboration kicks off with nine pieces, dual-branded with LFC and Converse logos. Two standout pieces include the iconic Chuck 70 high-top sneakers, which are covered with Liver birds, Sea Holly and YNWA, and the woven varsity jacket with special references to the 1984 European Cup final, where the Reds beat AS Roma on penalties.

Also in the collection are a bucket hat, Run Star Hike sneakers, polo shirt, T-shirt, shorts, tracksuit top and bottoms.

The LFC x Converse Collection will be available from 6 April.
