Equipo FC Partner With Kappa For Intercontinental Kit

Inspired by italian culture and AC Milanʼs victories at the Intercontinental Cup in Japan in 1989 and 1990, Spanish creative studio Equipo FC have collaborated with Italian brand, Kappa, to create the elegant ‘Intercontinental Kit’.

Equipo FC is a creative studio that’s definitely on our ‘ones to watch’ list for 2024, having sprung to prominence over the last couple of years through a series of eye-catching releases. And their output continues to impress, with their latest release coming courtesy of a second collaboration with Kappa, who’ve been smashing their own kit releases of late. And so we get the ‘Intercontinental Kit’ – a beautifully crisp white shirt that’s embellished by golden details throughout.

Equipo FC and Kappa first worked together on a throwback design that nodded to nights spent watching Italian football on cable TV taking more than a hint of inspiration from Juventus shirts of old.

Where that last release went down the darker side, the Intercontinental shirt is all about bright white, and it's available in both long and short sleeve versions, but we’re focussing fully on the long sleeve here. That clean base plays host to three golden stripes on the torso that acts as a subtle nod to the Rossoneri’s traditional home shirt design. The sponsor slot is taken up by the stylised ‘Equipo FC’ wording, while a club crest sits opposite the Kappa Omini logo. Those iconic brand logos feature again on the shoulders, this time in their ‘banda’ formation, while a golden version of the ‘Toyota Cup’ logo (as the Intercontinental cup was called from 1980 until its demise in 2004), appears below the rear neck line as a nice sign off.
