Global sportswear brand adidas have linked back up with lifestyle label Sporty & Rich. The latest collection celebrates the timeless legacy of off-court tennis aesthetics, using vintage silhouettes pulled straight out of the archives.
Sporty & Rich, founded by Emily Oberg in 2014, thrives off a minimal, vintage aesthetics, focusing on timeless country club vibes and relaxed silhouettes. From crewnecks to footwear, this label is all about self-care and a balanced lifestyle. First teaming up with adidas in 2022, the two brands came together to unlock a distinctive new style – fusing retro adidas looks with a minimalistic luxury twist. With adidas leading the way for performance driven designs for decades, this partnership came as a match made in heaven. Now the pair collab again, with classic tennis aesthetics sitting at the heart of the collection.
Through a mix of apparel, accessories and footwear, adidas and Sporty & Rich reimagine some archival Three Stripes looks, using a minimal country club twist. All pieces take a court-inspired approach, from polos and knits to shorts and skorts – it all brings to life that Serena Williams lifestyle and flourishes in simplicity. Greens, navy and off-whites take priority with each piece, moving away from daring colour choices as to let the design detailing speak for itself. Pulled straight out of the archives, two signature adidas silhouettes from different eras are brought back to the modern day, with added distinctive Sporty & Rich touches. The iconic ADIZERO ADIOS, famously worn during the peak of the 00’s, makes a return – bringing back that stunning two tone mesh upper which is paired with a gradient pattern three stripes. This version arrives in two colourways, including a midnight navy and a leafy green.
Delving even deeper into the archives, the silhouette of the established adidas Originals Blanc makes its, revived from its pinnacle during the 70’s. This shoe is the definition of vintage aesthetics, and we are definitely here for its momentous comeback.
