Hattie Crowther Celebrates The Women's Game With 'More Pints Than Paycheques' Collection

Hattie Crowther returns to the game with a new collection – More Pints Than Paycheques. The series of one-off shirts doesn’t just celebrate the women’s game in time for Euro 2025, but also critiques the systems around it in that classic Crowther style.

London-based designer Hattie Crowther is back with a bang, exactly how we’d expect. As part of the ‘More Pints Than Paycheques’ collection, she has unveiled a series of unique football shirts in response to the ongoing inequities within the women’s game. With the Women’s Euro 2025 just kicked off there was no better time to make a statement like this than now. Launched in direct response to the persistent inequalities we see in football, the series reimagine classic shirt looks as a protest, acting as a wearable critique of the clear gap in the game. Whilst the women’s game is undoubtably rising, as are the contradictions of unequal pay, exclusionary policies and corporate slogans that don’t match the on-pitch truth. Well, Hattie Crowther is here to rewrite the rulebook.

Crafted from deadstock Ralph Lauren clothing and unwanted kits, each piece sits perfectly between the football and fashion crossroads – every bit football heritage as it is streetwear approved. Think sharp tailoring blends with repurposed crests and classic materials. That cultural edge we can’t help but love. Tournament sponsors have been flipped into slogans that highlight the contradictions in the game using smart play on words including: More Pints than Paychques (Heineken), Lidl Pay Max Effort (Lidl), and Fix The Game (EA Sports). It’s genius.

At the heart of the design is the reimagined crest that reads ‘ALL WOMEN’ whilst boldly incorporating the Trans flag in response to the FA’s recent ban on trans women in elite football. It’s one of the many elements featured on this collection that have been chosen by a community of women who live and breathe the game. Whether it is ballers or creatives, they all bring their lived experiences to every stich of each piece.

This launch is far more than just clothing, it’s a message. A message to those who want to hold the women’s game down. Celebrating those who continue to lift the women’s game up. This launch demands change and with 10% of its proceeds going to Truk United FC (a trans-inclusive club) the impact of this collection will go beyond just aesthetics.
