Football’s most iconic design language takes a bold new spin as Cultura FC drops its latest Nike collaboration, continuing the revival of the unmistakable Total 90 aesthetic for a new generation.
Unveiled as part of Cultura FC’s three-day creative takeover in San Diego, the two new Nike kits arrive with the same unapologetic energy that defined football culture in the early 2000s. With Equipo FC, PUPILA, and BarrioJunto driving the project, the drop lands at the intersection of design, identity, and the beautiful game.
For the home jersey, Equipo FC lead the line with a modern interpretation of Atlético de Madrid’s legendary spiderweb shirt. The web motif stretches out across a vibrant yellow base, anchored by the unmistakable Total 90 circle at the chest — a symbol that once defined Nike’s game-changing approach to football. Green side panels and red accents complete the palette, a nod to the colours that dominated the Brazil-led era at the turn of the millennium. Nostalgia re-engineered, with creativity at its core.
If the home kit is a throwback, the away is a manifesto. Designed by PUPILA, the white-based jersey reflects the diverse identities that converge in San Diego, weaving Chicano structural references into its design. It’s a declaration of Cultura FC’s values — plural, open, and global, rooted in football but reaching far beyond the pitch.
Running September 25–27, Cultura FC isn’t just an exhibition — it’s a movement. Across three days, San Diego becomes a canvas for collectives, creatives, and game-changers to come together, sparking conversations that explore how football continues to evolve as culture, design, and community collide.
Nike x Cultura FC’s Total 90 return is a beautifully brash reminder of football’s power to connect eras, places, and people through design.
A limited amount of the shirts will be available at the Cultura FC event.
