Ten years at Manchester City, and Pep Guardiola still dresses like he’s got somewhere better to be after the final whistle.

There are no theatrics, no overthinking, just clean, dialled-in garments that do the job. His new capsule alongside PUMA leans straight into that.

It would’ve been easy to go big. Trophies, numbers, references stacked on references. Instead, it’s pulled right back. The collection reads like his wardrobe does on matchday: it's quiet, functional and slightly elevated. You’re not hit over the head with it.

The anchor is a rework of the Ralph Sampson Majesty Lo, which makes sense if you’ve paid even half attention over the years. It’s been part of the uniform. Here, it’s cleaned up and sharpened with better materials and a tighter finish. It looks like something he’d actually wear, which isn’t always a given with these things.

Same story across the rest. A bomber that sits right, a hoodie that does the trick and a cap that feels like the cherry on a very sleek cake. The branding is light-touch – a small ‘P’ doing most of the work, linking PUMA and Pep without making a thing of it. There’s a decade mark in there too, but you have to look for it.

That’s kind of the point. Guardiola’s City has never been about noise for the sake of it. It’s all about control, structure, repetition until it clicks.

The collection officially lands on April 15 on both PUMA and Manchester City websites in limited numbers. Move fast, or you'll miss the boat.
