Nike reveal historical roots of exclusive NIKE F.C.
Nike have dug through their archives to showcase a number of NIKE F.C. related products worn by their professional players throughout the years. On the back of the exclusive club coming out of the shadows this week Nike bring us closer to the history of NIKE F.C.
Whether it's truth, legend or clever marketing, Nike claim their NIKE F.C. squad was born in 1994 to change football for the better. Ronaldo, Figo and Totti all represented the once exclusive club and Nike have now lifted the lid on some previously unseen imagery to uncover the roots of NIKE F.C.
Photography of iconic boots such as Ronaldo's Mercurials have been unveiled, each featuring the words or logo of NIKE F.C. Each boot was supposedly worn on pitch but the clues went, perhaps conveniently, unnoticed by the public, therefore keeping the under-the-radar club, well, just that.
NIKE F.C was hidden by the brand for ten years until this week when Nike unveiled the origins of the club, their 2014 lookbook and a new squad of players who take the baton from the likes of Figo and Ronaldo including Neymar, Wilshere, Osvaldo and Kevin-Prince Boateng. Basically any Nike player with a half decent tattoo.
