A chance to level the score, New York City FC play host to New York Red Bulls in the second ever match up between the two sides.
This stunning photography by Justin Levine tells the story off the pitch. The newest club on the block but a wealth of passion on another level. NYRB went home with the points the first time out so this was a chance for NYCFC to balance the books. A chance not taken, Red Bulls showed their dominance in a sturdy 3-1 victory. With talk of one Andrea Pirlo heading to NYCFC though, the pace is still building for the blue side of the City. It would seem although there is yet no Pirlo, there is certainly a party.
A fascinating fight for football dominance in New York, we featured Justin's work from the first ever derby inside Issue 3 of the SoccerBible Magazine as part of our 'Empire State of Football' feature. Get yours here. Wherever you're watching the game, let's see it - use the hashtag #SBpitchside
