Hector Bellerin reels off his playlist for the next edition of our 'Waves' series, explaining his musical influences shaped by moving to the U.K. as a teenage prodigy. Bellerin arrived in London with little English, a suitcase of Premier League dreams and an MP3 player blasting out Sean Paul and 50 Cent. Safe to say his footballing status and taste in music has developed since.
The Arsenal full back who lists J.Cole's '4 Yours Eyez Only' and Drake's 'Nothing Was The Same' as his favourtie albums of all time mixes things up with a diverse set taken from his match-day and chill-out playlists. Known for his interests in fashion as well as music Bellerin has turned himself into somewhat of a style icon in the football world and he touched upon his trending tracks from the comfort of PUMA's Corporate Box as he watched The Weeknd at London's o2 Arena.
"I'm listening to Migos a lot at the moment, they're killing it right now. When I'm trying to get relaxed I'll listen to a bit of John Legend and Ed Sheeran, any chilled out acoustic music. I've got a lot of love for Childish Gambino too, the fact that he does a lot of acting, he does a lot of stuff on the side away from music and his fashion sense is on point too. I love my hip-hop, even when I was back in Spain and I didn't understand a word I used to listen to a bit of 50 Cent and Sean Paul."
