Meeting up for their final international camp of the year, the French squad arrived in typical fashion as they showed off their freshest FW19 drip ahead of checking in to their Clairefontaine national team headquarters on the outskirts of Paris this week.
Arrivals at Clairefontaine have turned into catwalk of streetwear every time the World Champions report for international duty, and as the squad check in ahead of their upcoming EURO 2020 Qualifiers the boys in blue are showcasing the latest additions to their wardrobes, with some more than others well aware of the media presence that greets them. Following on from their October camp where the players arrived in similar style, November brings another display of designer brands and latest streetwear drops.
The players arrived at Clairefontaine knowing that a win against Moldova on Thursday night at the Stade de France will secure qualification for next summer's tournament. Making their now trademark walk from their taxis to the steps of the National Football Centre, the players keep up their runway-esque tradition since becoming World Champions in 2018. No tracksuits here, and certainly no Harry Maguire-styled turning up in training shorts, flip-flops, and your stuff in a bin bag: that sort of sh*t is treated as treason in France.
From the subtle sportswear vibes of Kylian Mbappe wearing the Nike Lebron 17 “Future Air” to the more fashion styled Presnel Kimpembe and Olivier Giroud, the walk to Clairefontaine is always scattered with designer brands, limited edition sneakers and customised garms. Is there a more stylish team in international football on and off the pitch? Not for us. There's a lock on the changing room, yeah?
