Turning his immensely-talented attention to some of the biggest football clubs in Europe, Paris-based designer Franck Joubert has created a collection of unique handmade bags crafted from team shirts, including Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
Upcycling football shirts has become something of a trend in recent years, gaining traction with some stunning creations. Having already worked with the distinct technique of making handmade bags crafted from recognisable apparel for four years, French designer Franck Joubert has turned his attention to football, incorporating some of the biggest European shirts on the scene in his premium pieces.
“The idea is simple, to sublimate a garment, whether it is a sports jersey, a uniform, a polo shirt or a T-shirt, by transforming it into a bag, while offering impeccable quality,” Joubert explained. Handmade in Paris, each bag is constructed from full grain leather. Following the core construction, the chosen jerseys are then sewn directly on to the items, creating premium bags which show off support while adding a classy new dimension to jersey culture.
The Franck Joubert custom bags will be available to purchase in the near future.
