Monaco midfielder Tiémoué Bakayoko has become a shareholder of contemporary French fashion brand Études as the Frechman takes his interests off-pitch by turning one of his passions into a genuine business opportunity with the premium clothing store.
Études and Bakayoko take a new historic step in bringing fashion and sport together. After athlete muses such as Russell Westbrook for Acne Studios and Megan Rapinoe for Loewe, Études follow the same path by making a the former AC Milan and Chelsea player part of its very strategy under the aegis Super Vision Office agency (founded by former Manchester United striker David Bellion).
Of his venture into the fashion industry Bakayoko explained; “I’ve always loved fashion and my casual yet elegant style reflects this. I found this same vision at Études and I was immediately on board. By becoming a shareholder, I hope to inspire athletes and fashion houses to open up to new worlds and profiles. Difference is an asset.”
Études is a French fashion brand that unites the world of publishing with that of the arts and design. Created in 2012 by Aurélien Arbet, Jérémie Egry and José Lamali, the brand reflects the contemporary landscape through its clothing for men and women.
“Usually, football players consume fashion. Tiémoué, on the other hand, takes part in it. He will be a shareholder, ambassador and collaborator all rolled into one. Borders can now be shifted. Until now, athletes went to Fashion Week but didn’t go backstage. This original partnership represents the changes at work within our industries” said David Bellion, founder of Super Vision Office.
