Nike Launch Sixth Generation LunarGlide With World Cup ID Options

Today, six years after its inception, Nike debut the LunarGlide 6 with a lighter version of Lunarlon foam, a redesigned outsole pattern, enhanced Dynamic Support, a newly engineered upper and World Cup NIKE iD options.

The shoe whose namesake cushioning was inspired by astronauts bounding weightlessly on the moon is more stable than ever. The Nike LunarGlide 6 features a lighter Lunarlon foam for super soft, lightweight and responsive cushioning. Lunarlon debuted in the Nike Lunaracer for world-class marathon runners and the Nike Hyperdunk for elite athletes competing in Beijing in 2008.

As well as top class performance, the LunarGlide 6 offers a stylish wearable aesthetic inspired by modern architecture and clean, minimalistic design. NIKE iD customers can also choose to represent their country with options available to France, Portugal, Brazil, USA, Holland and England fans.

“The LunarGlide is the epitome of performance meets style,” said Rob Williams, Senior Footwear Designer. “We took a holistic approach to enhancing stability in the LunarGlide 6, and Lunarlon offers lightweight, soft and responsive cushioning. It’s the best of both worlds for runners – lightweight cushioning and amazing support.”

The LunarGlide 6 is available starting today to customise exclusively through NIKEiD, and will be in stores beginning July 10. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
