Continuing our 'Fit for Football' series ahead of the 2014/15 season, we take a closer look at the newly released Nike Zoom Elite 7; the lightest Air Zoom Elite to date weighing just 9.6 ounces. Landing in a collection of colourways including the featured "Hyper Cobalt/Hyper Pink" editions, the Nike Zoom Elite 7 features a new low profile, streamlined upper with a reduced eight-millimeter heel-to-toe offset. Headline features include a lightweight mesh upper equipped with Nike Flywire technology and Zoom Air in the forefoot to provide responsive cushioning.
Asymmetrical lacing locks down the midfoot and no-sew overlays provide key support and a virtually seamless fit. Underfoot, an ultra-thin outsole adds traction without bulking up weight. A lateral crash rail flexes upon contact with the ground for a soft, smooth transition from landing to takeoff. Deep flex grooves under the forefoot offer room for more natural motion.
