Following on from their 'Innovation for Everybody' event, New York plays host to 'Air Max Con' ― a celebration of everything Air Max as the brand celebrate the third annual Air Max Day.
Celebrating the genius of the Air Max in all of its iconic forms, Nike put on a three day celebration of their top shoe. Air Max Con, a multi-day convention held in downtown New York City as well as Hong Kong and Tokyo, officially opened its doors this week. The experience is a journey through the story of the Air Max with a huge culmination of past meets present — all part of Nike's 'Vote Back' program that promises to retro an Air Max of old.
The massive event space was made up of the Air Max Vault, which features the top 100 Air Max models as selected by Nike, and a section dedicated to Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker’s special renditions of popular Air Max silhouettes including the Air Max 90 Ultra Superfly T, all rounded off by a number of other special interactive installations.
