Football and Flyknit. Two of the key ingredients in Nike's 2016 sneaker game and two ingredients that aren't showing any signs of going past their expiry dates. The trend of sock-like ankle collars is firing strong and the latest bullet from Nike's innovation gun comes in the shape of the Lunar Magista II Flyknit.
Taking shapes from the Nike Magista Obra II football boot, the Lunar Magista II Flyknit follows in the footsteps of the Footscape Magista and Free Mercurial Superfly, in that it's straight up inspired and transformed from an on-pitch performance product to a street-ready lifestyle shoe. Tooled up with Lunarlon tech on the sole, the Lunar Magista II Flyknit is equipped with a leather upper that merges into the trademark Dynamic Fit Collar, the first Nike lifestyle shoe to use the updated second-generation Magista silhouette.
Launching in "Dark Grey" and accompanied by an all black edition, the Lunarlon sole gives the shoe more of a performance feel, similar to the FootballX collection, rather than a pure lifestyle vibe created by Free, Zoom and Air wheels. A leather upper on a Magista though, consider it a mash up of Tech Craft, FootballX and lifestyle.
