Nike SB and San Francisco's FTC upgrade the FC classic shoe as skateboarding and football elements are combined in black and gold. Nike FC is reintroduced with Nike SB to recreate a Spring 2017 crossover silhouette.
As skateable as it is stylish the Nike SB Lunar FC Classic's footballing influence in minimal but enough to take on the FC tagline. A premium combo of black suede and perforated leather make up the upper, with an updated Lunarlon midsole to provide extra cushioning down below. Gold accents feature on the heel branding, along with ‘FT’ branding on the suede heel.
Set to drop sometime this spring, the Nike SB Lunar FC Classic will no doubt be far more popular in skating circles than the soccer scene, but the concept of how the two worlds can be merged so elegantly is an interesting one, and a relationship we're seeing other brands explore in intriguing ways.
