For a product that started as a football boot on pitch, the ACE 16+ series finds itself along way from home. When the Purecontrol was launched in January 2016, few could have guessed it would be transformed into a fashion piece collaborating with brands such as NYC lifestyle label Kith.
As mentioned, it's a long way from the its home of grass and white lines. But adidas have installed a social personality in their versatile shoe, equipping it with an UltraBOOST makeover and attitude that has established it as a stand alone product in fashion and lifestyle circles. Taking the ACE 16+ Purecontrol UltraBOOST into further new ground, adidas have collaborated with KITH to create a limited edition "Pale Pink" drop, set to land later this spring.
The collaborative creation will be limited to just 500 pairs globally. Impressive progress for what began life as a football boot; to develop into a limited edition lifestyle shoe that can comfortably draw a crowd in an ultra-competitive sneaker market is no mean feat, and a status that many brands have try and failed to achieve time after time. The KITH x ACE 16+ Purecontrol UltraBOOST features co-branded heel tabs and a KITH branded Limited Collection box.
