As the second season of Paul Pogba's signature adidas line launches we're taking a closer look at the collection, including the headline piece from the latest drop. Inspired by Pogba's African roots, the ACE 17+ TR throws desert camo shapes at laceless street style and sets the tone for the full collection.
Along with the laceless ACE 17+ TR shoe, adidas and Pogba have also launched a laced ACE 17.1 edition in a light grey wrap. Both sneaker options (below) feature BOOST technology and Paul Pogba branding on the heel and pull-tag of the tongue for an added sense of exclusivity. A shame that a football boot didn't make the line-up, but perhaps an indication of adidas' imminent plans with their football footwear collection – avoiding a clash of high profile launches.
Pogba's reputation as one of football's leading style icons is further cemented with a follow-up series to his highly successful signature debut collection in February this year. Co-designed by the man himself, the collection features 'PP' branded clothing and accessories along with the ACE 17 footwear drop.
The collection goes beyond footwear, including apparel and accessories for a complete streetwear look. Standout pieces include a new beige and gold bomber jacket, a specially designed ‘Paris’ jersey, featuring a desert print with bold reflective font across the front, and other accessories including a cap, track pant, tees and a signature ball.
