Nike are treating Cristiano Ronaldo to another signature sneaker as they prepare to release a second colourway to his "Patchwork" Air Max 97 series, following the metallic gold Air Max 97 CR7 we saw last October.
The Portugal-inspired design features a "University Red" base with subtle hints of metallic gold branding across the shoe. The patchwork concept was inspired by Ronaldo's childhood, when his mother would sew patches on the shoes he wore through while playing soccer.
The special versions of the classic runner include a leather and mesh construction, wavy paneling on the upper, and special CR7 branded heel pull tabs.
The "University Red/Fir-White-Metallic Gold" Air Max 97 CR7 is expected to drop in limited quantities this Spring on the Nike SNKRS app and select Nike Sportswear retailers.
