Returning to one of the most iconic silhouettes in their archives, adidas Originals release a trio of Samba designs headlined by an oversized, fold-over tongue option. A terrace mainstay for over half a decade, the Samba is king.
Famed for beginning life as an indoor football sneaker, the Samba has since become a wardrobe essential that has ventured into all realms of lifestyle. For Summer 2018 the silhouette is blessed with a one-for-one reproduction of its original 1950s design, and nobody's mad about that.
A full leather construction wraps itself across the upper of all three offerings, with suede placed on the T-toe panel and contrasting leather on the 3-stripe branding and heel tab. Both the black and white drops will serve as the go to choices, but adidas have also presented an updated take on the shoe by using an oversized, fold-over tongue an added shot of retro flavour.
The adidas Originals Samba collection is set to drop on June 1.
