Nike's football and streetwear scenes continue to complement one another as the Swoosh drop a "Team Red" rendition of the Air VaporMax 2 sneaker.
Mirroring the aesthetic of the recent "Rising Fire" football boot pack, the VaporMax adopts a deep red Flyknit upper for a smart Autumn/Winter wrap. Throwing lifestyle vibes into the mix Nike have added tan coloured leather placements on the heel, along with a black mid-sole that hosts the trademark Air Max unit.
Further subtle leather layerings are added to the toe box and tongue patch in "Team Red" to round off the design. This cross-over of football boots and sneaker colourways is one that has gathered pace this year with Nike recently matching the Air VaporMax with the football Fast AF pack. The "Rising Fire" design here borrows hues from the new Mercurial colourway below, currently being worn by Kylian Mbappe.
The Nike Air VaporMax 2 in "Team Red" is scheduled to drop at Nike retailers on August 29.
