Nike have wrapped up a special edition gift for Marcus Rashford to open on his 21st birthday today. Throwing down some custom creativity the Swoosh have dished out a pair of bespoke Air Force 1 sneakers to mark the occasion for the Manchester United striker.
What do you get a millionaire kid who probably has everything? Something that's not for sale is the answer, and that's just what Nike have done by whipping up an exclusive design on the iconic silhouette. The simple aesthetic features a custom red Swoosh and matching vamp on the front of the shoe, both featuring his initials 'MR' along with the number 21 and some stars.
The England frontman was also wearing an all black tracksuit that featured the face and name of his dog 'Saint' with a Nike tag inside, which could well have been another gift from the Swoosh. Saint, for those of you who don't know, is a big Cane Corso son of a gun, a serious amount of dog. Rashford was quick to show off both his new presents on his Instagram story on Wednesday afternoon.
The note to Rashford was simply signed 'Happy Birthday MR21 From Your Nike Family' – not a bad treat to receive on Halloween. All other Nike contracted players will be eagerly awaiting the postman on their next birthday, no doubt.
