Umbro continues its second iteration of the 90s-inspired sneaker collection, Archive Research Project (ARP), this time launching a radical AW19 update for the Run M, which arrives with an altered silhouette and a bold new “Fluoro Yellow” colourway.

First introduced for SS19, the ARP collection combines archive-inspired designs with modern, tech-led construction, and it’s now been given a radical update for AW19. Following the blacked-out ‘Neptune’, the second drop in the ARP collection sees Umbro giving the Run M a fashion-forward ‘Future Fluo’ design that encapsulates the ARP approach with a fresh, bold colourway joining up with modern technologies.

The progressive design overhaul introduces an ankle-high sock-shoe hybrid silhouette and twin-layered beefy sole. Run M’s upper is constructed from a knitted mesh in fluoro yellow with rubberised side support panels and a faux lace-up system. Black oversized diamond symbols and side-on logos provide surface contrasts alongside vertical taped details on each heel and a flecked black mid-sole.

Two drops in and this second chapter of the Archive Research Project sees Umbro reasserting its credentials as a leader in British sportswear while training the spotlight on its forward-thinking design.
