Stepping into autumn in style, adidas have launched two colour updates for the Sobakov 2.0, inverting navy and white tones across both pairs. Continuing the Three Stripes’ take on modern soccer culture, the refreshed Sobakov takes influence from a thriving streetwear scene.
Part of terrace culture used to be out dressing the next man, particularly opposition fans, and adidas has taken influence from this with the latest colour updates for the Sobakov 2.0, presenting two clean and stylish options for the Predator-inspired lifestyle sneaker. Made of soft textile, the Sobakov 2.0 boasts the aggressive look that’s so synonymous with the Predator brand, helped by the swerving Three Stripes that wrap from the heel, recalling 1998’s legendary Predator Accelerator.
The Sobakov only launched in June 2018, but it has already seen countless colourways as well as a variety of homage-fuelled tweaks, most notably with the different use of Three Stripes from iconic Predators of the past, such as the sweeping Precision stripes and recently even the OG ’94 Predator stripes.
The Boost-infused Sobakov 2.0 is all about the Accelerator however, but it has been somewhat overlooked since its launch in May 2019, with this drop being only the third and fourth colour updates, while in contrast, the original Sobakov had enjoyed eight colour ups after the same amount of time. Still, the 2.0 obviously adopts a quality over quantity mantra, with both the “Collegiate Navy/Silver Metallic” and “Cloud White/Tech Blue Metallic” colourways offering contrasting style for the streets. The Sobakov's stride from strength to strength continues into FW19.
