Back in 2018 AS Roma unveiled four classic Nike sneakers, customised with the club colours by esteemed designer Rich Franklin. Alongside the Air Force 1, A$AP Mob Air Force 1, and Air Max 1 was an Air Jordan Mid 1, and the Italian club are now giving a pair of these hugely limited edition sneakers away.
The four-piece collection was originally commissioned to feature as the star attraction at the opening of Roma’s New York pop-up store in 2018, which was launched in collaboration with fancy.com. And the sneakers, including the special one-off collaboration between Roma and hip-hop collective A$AP Mob, stole the show.
The AJ1 sees the classic colours of the club spread across the shoe, with the Roma club crest embroidered on the heel. A wild zippered tongue completes this unique shoe, which was only made in a US size 9. They were customised by hand in Philadelphia with material from authentic AS Roma kits, and following a competition last year to win the Air Max 1, Roma are now offering up the Air Jordan Mid 1 to one lucky person. Only two pairs of this design exist in the whole world and now the club are letting one of those pairs go for free.
