Stripping back to bare essentials, adidas launch the UltraBoost PB trainer, a featherlight version of the regular UltraBoost 20. In line with a general shift from street to speed, the trainer boasts a sleek new silhouette and the lightest mesh that the Three Stripes make.
The end of last year saw the launch of the UltraBoost 20, bringing the popular sneaker into the future with a completely revamped design. But not ones to rest on their laurels, adidas have now revisited its signature silhouette, bringing the UltraBoost PB to the table. It still provides that cushioned energy return thanks to the Boost midsole, but from there on things change.
Since its inception, the UltraBoost has seamlessly blurred the lines between lifestyle and performance, but the UltraBoost PB, while still looking as stylish as its predecessors thanks to the addition of some Japanese-styled calligraphy graphics running throughout, leans more on actually making you faster, thanks to its new lightweight construction.
Available in four colourways, “Cloud White/Core Black/Dash Grey”, “Core Black/Cloud White/Signal Coral”, “ Core Black/Grey/Gold Metallic”, and “Core Black/Ftwr White/Signal White”, it features a Celermesh upper, the lightest mesh that adidas makes. But don’t be fooled into thinking that the lighter weight is going to detract from the support you’re getting; the single-layer construction and internal support system ensure that the foot is held tight, while plastic heel clips aid with lockdown.
