Ramping up the style options for its latest silhouette, Nike launch the Air Max 2090 in a crisp “Wolf Grey” colourway, lending the shoe for the future a look that’s a homage to the past.
Having recently dropped in a “Triple Black” colourway, followed by a “Pure Platinum/White” option, Nike’s latest look for the Air Max 2090 sees it drop somewhere in the middle of the two. The upper is dressed in a light grey shade, and this is accented by a black underlay and ridged black heel piece. Vivid yellow then appears on the cut-out tongue detail, select seams and the heel’s pull tab.
Taking cues from what made the Air Max 90 so iconic and future-forward 30 years ago, the Air Max 2090 is designed to illustrate what the future holds. It mixes a range of classic Air Max 90 elements, including the mudguard, heel logo and cassette feature around the air unit, while introducing some new and altered elements.
