Nike Give The Air Force 1 The Lightning Swoosh Treatment

Nike’s European expedition continues, as does the transition of the lightning Swoosh from pitch to pavement, as the American giants launch the Air Force 1 'Euro Tour' edition.

The upcoming 'Euro Tour' release, or 'Nike Swoosh On Tour' as it’s also been referred to, has already seen the Air Jordan 1 mid unveiled as part of its party, and now it’s joined by the Air Force 1, complete with the striking lightning Swoosh – a disjointed take on the standard Nike logo, modernising it with a more aggressive aesthetic – that first debuted on the Neighbourhood Pack.

Where the Air Jordan 1 opted for an understated presentation of the marquee move for Nike’s logo, for the Air Force 1 the Swoosh is painted red, standing it in stark contrast to the otherwise pristine white leather upper, and giving it all the attention that it rightly deserves. It’s a look that’s more in keeping with the upcoming colourway for the Mercurial seen recently that’s set to debut in September.

A metallic plaque displaying a list of twelve cities around Europe graces the tongue, a detail and execution again lifted straight from the Neighbourhood pack. Internally, the insole is a vibrant red again, and it features the same globe logo that appears throughout the Mercurial, Tiempo, Phantom VNM and VSN.

The 'Euro Tour' Air Force 1 is now available early on Asphalt with a wider release expected in the near future.
