Two purveyors of craft and quality have come together to produce a collaborative project that’s oozing in tradition and class. Designed and imagined by HANON and built by Pantofola d’Oro, the Modena boasts true Italian style with superior craftmanship along with the finest quality materials, and it’s incredibly limited, making it all the more desirable in our eyes.
Pantofola d’Oro can boast a rich heritage in the beautiful game, while HANON are renowned for their eye for pure quality. So when we heard that the two were coming together, we were instantly interested. And the result is the Modena: a shoe designed and built from scratch. Born in the historic Italian city of the same name, the model is based on the timeless styling of the 70’s and 80’s and takes inspiration in particular from a Pantofola boot bearing a distinctive side stripe and bouncing ball logo.
To mirror the original boot, the Modena is finished in an upper with materials sourced entirely from Italy. Executed in a plush calfskin leather and finished in a black/white colourway, the upper is offset with buttersoft suede vamps and features a dual leather side stripe and heel tab with electric blue accents.
The legacy of Italian shoemaking is ever-present and the entire lining is finished in leather with a pin prick perforated application. Attention to detail is applied via dual branding on the tongue and heel, as well as on the leather laminated footbed, and gold foil MODENA execution on the lateral side of the shoe. Mirroring the colourway, the shoe is presented in a bespoke box with dual branded tissue paper.
