Preparation for a new season style is underway, and the latest product from the always anticipated PSG x Jordan collab has been unveiled, with the Air Jordan 7 joining the long list of sneakers to be reworked with Parisian stylings.

The PSG x Jordan collab continues at a pace that satisfies at least twice a season, and with the curtain not even down on the last release, attention already switches to the next with the reveal of the PSG Air Jordan 7. It becomes the latest sneaker to get the collaboration treatment, joining a healthy roster that already includes the Air Jordan 1 Retro High, Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 5, and Air Jordan 6.

The Air Jordan 7 is set to expand the imaginative design of Tinker Hatfield by swapping the mid-foot and ankle panels for transparent mesh windows. Not only does it improve breathability and offer a unique detail never seen in the AJ7, but it actually touches on Hatfield’s intent to reduce weight to the footwear (seen in models like the Air Flight Huarache, a close relative of the AJ7). Revealed through these panels are the “ICI C’EST PARIS” callout that’s become so synonymous with the club. It also appears on the jazzy insole, which combines the white, red and blues that the mesh panels reveal on the inside of the white leather exterior. On the heel, replacing the “23” placement on standard AJ7s, is a fleur-de-lis as well as a visage of the Eiffel Tower.

Rumours that Jordan may be promoted to producers of PSG’s first team attire next season continue to circulate, and if that does end up being the case, and these sneakers again give us an idea of what to expect – as has been the case in the past – then the PSG x Jordan kit should certainly be one to get excited about... as if you weren’t already.

The PSG x Air Jordan 7 is currently set for a 22 May 2021 release date.
